Gaza Strike Kills Three-Year-Old Child and Another Palestinian in Deir el-Balah

An Israeli air strike killed two Palestinians, including a three-year-old child, near a bakery in central Gaza on Sunday, according to Gaza health officials and medics cited by Reuters.

The victims were identified as Hussam Nasser and three-year-old Taym Hamdan. Several other people were reportedly wounded in the attack in Deir el-Balah.

The Israeli military said it had targeted and killed a Hamas fighter, accusing him of involvement in attacks against Israeli forces and civilians.

Gaza health officials say more than 1,300 Palestinians have been killed since the ceasefire that began in October 2025, highlighting continued violence despite the truce.
