Iran Condemns US Strike Near Children’s Cancer Hospital as Civilian Fears Grow
Iran has condemned a US strike near Shahid Baghaei Specialized Hospital in Ahvaz, calling it a "barbaric" attack and accusing Washington of committing a war crime.
Iranian officials said the blast occurred close to the children's cancer hospital, forcing the evacuation of 211 patients, many of whom were receiving chemotherapy or required intensive medical care. Hospital staff said the explosion was so close that they initially believed the facility had been directly hit.
The United States has not commented on the hospital allegations but confirmed it carried out another wave of strikes in Iran. Meanwhile, tensions continue to rise as both sides exchange accusations over attacks on civilian infrastructure and alleged violations of international law.
