Iran IRGC Warns US of Severe Retaliation After Renewed Attacks
Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has warned that the United States will “regret” its latest attacks on Iran, despite US President Donald Trump cautioning Tehran against retaliating.
IRGC spokesman Hossein Mohebi said severe punishment awaits those responsible for the attacks. His comments came after explosions were reported in several areas in and around the Strait of Hormuz.
“The United States will regret its new attacks,” Mohebi said in a post on X, warning of consequences for the latest US military action.
Iranian news agency Tasnim, citing a senior military source, reported that Tehran plans to respond with a significantly larger counterattack if US strikes continue.
The source reportedly said Iranian forces could target US military bases and American interests across the region, raising concerns about a wider escalation.
The latest exchange of threats comes amid heightened tensions between Washington and Tehran, with both sides warning against further military action.
