Iran Threatens Response to US Attack on Larak Island, Calls Strike a “Fatal Mistake”
Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has vowed to respond to a US attack on Larak Island, saying the strike killed and wounded Iranian fighters and civilians.
IRGC spokesperson Sardar Mohebi described the US action as a “strategic and fatal mistake” and warned that those responsible would face consequences.
According to Iran’s state broadcaster and Fars news agency, Mohebi said Iran’s response would extend to both the economic and military arenas.
The statement marks a sharp escalation in tensions between Washington and Tehran, with Iran warning that the US attack will not go unanswered.
