US and Iran Escalate Conflict as Strikes Continue for Seventh Night
The United States and Iran have entered a seventh consecutive night of intensified military exchanges, with both sides expanding strikes across the Middle East.
Iran’s military said it targeted US-linked sites in Kuwait, Jordan and Bahrain, including bases and logistical facilities. Tehran also warned it could launch a wider offensive if US attacks continue.
The US Central Command said American forces carried out operations aimed at reducing Iran’s military capabilities. Iran accused the US of hitting civilian infrastructure, including power facilities and transportation sites.
The conflict has also affected regional security and energy routes, with tensions rising around the Strait of Hormuz, a key global oil shipping route. International mediators, including China and Pakistan, have called for both sides to return to negotiations.
