Yemen’s Houthi movement has claimed attacks on Saudi Arabia’s Defence Ministry headquarters in Riyadh, facilities belonging to state oil company Aramco in Yanbu, and airports in Abha and Dammam. The group said the operations took place over the previous 48 hours.

Houthi military spokesperson Yahya Saree said the attacks involved ballistic missiles and drones. He also warned Riyadh against further military action in Yemen and said the group could take additional steps if Saudi operations continued.

Saudi authorities had not immediately confirmed the reported attacks in Riyadh or Yanbu. The claims also came after Saudi civil aviation officials reported a deadly attack at King Fahd International Airport in Dammam, where one person was killed and eight were injured. Saudi officials had not publicly identified the party responsible for that incident.

The distinction between the Houthi claims and independently confirmed damage remains important. The group has made repeated claims of attacks on Saudi targets during the recent escalation, while Saudi statements have separately reported interceptions and damage in some incidents. Further confirmation from Saudi authorities was not immediately available.
